Eurovision

Well yesterday it was celebrated the 50 Eurovision song contest and it was really cool, the song that one is really cool. (Greece won the contest)
I think it is really strange for me being fan of Eurovision specially since I am now on Mexico, for the last 4 years I have follow the show via satellite TV with a TV channel from Spain.
The only time I have live Eurovision on Europe was last year when I was on Germany and until that day I had not realized Eurovision was so big. Last year I was chair of an LC weekend on Frankfurt and on the agenda we had see Eurovision, it was amazing everybody from the hostel was watching the show and were screaming everytime Germany got points (I guess this year there was not so many screaming since Germany only got 6 points and the winner got around 200).
Also last year we were playing drinking games trying to guess to what country every country was going to give their 12 points. It was a great game and most of us finish a little bit drunk.

Here is a picture of last year LC weekend of the LC Frankfurt (all happened during the Eurovision weekend)

Star Wars day

Well yesterday I went to see Star Wars Episode 3, well I went really early on the day because I knew that if I went and saw it during the night for sure there will not be tickets.

The movie is ok, I like it, it makes clear lots of things that happened on the next episodes and also there are lots of fights what make the movie very interesting.

Well it was not all what happened with Star Wars yesterday, I was in my home surfing the TV channels and suddenly I saw that Episode 6 was starting so I decided to saw, it was nice to remember that movie.

Well that is all of Star Wars on a while

Well anyway I like nomadlife a lot and it is a good way to keep me busy while I am surfing the net.

Last weekend in Monterrey

Well this weekend was my official weekend as student here in Monterey, it was a great weekend but also a crazy one.

Since at the moment I had nothing to do I decided to change the template of my bloc, so doing that I passed the whole Saturday morning.
But the day got better, at the moment the Mexican soccer league is on playoffs so we went to Ivan house to see some games, it was nice but Monterrey team lost.
After that we went to some clubs and it was great, I had lots of fun.

Sunday was just for sleeping and packing since I will go tomorrow to my moms house on Tampico.

Well that is all for now

Bye Bye LC Monterrey

I sent this mail to everybody in my LC it was my good bye to them

Hello everybody!
Well this is a kind of difficult mail since it is the last mail I will sent as part of the EB and member of the LC Monterrey.
Starting Monday May 16 Bernardo 1 will be responsible for the OGX area of the LC.
You can contact him at jose.carranza@aiesec.net

Also I will be living Monterrey May 17 to go to Tampico to be with my family before my trip to Belgium. I will be back on Monterrey from May 23 to May 27 and then I will go again to Tampico and will not come back to Monterrey.

Well I will just like to thank everybody that worked with me during the time I was member of LC Monterrey there are some persons that I will never forget

Pipo, Mariana, Marix, Nancy, Martin Martinez, Pepe, Paulina, Jogi, Bris, Lola , Fabian Luis, Dany, Bernardo 1, Bernardo 2, Aide, Olga, Elizabeth, Rodrigo, Carlos el capoeira, Diana, Laura, Claire, Audrey, Mario, Miguel L, Diana, Federico, Carlos M, Rafael, Miguel S, Jaime, Eny, Ana T, Tundi, Cristina N, Cristina L, Vlad, Karlita, Alberto, Mariana G, Ana, Krishna, Daniela, Lenny, Arturo, Paty, Poncho, Isabel, Cynthia, David Aleman, Susana, Maria

I am sure I am forgetting somebody but it is hard to remember everybody, but be sure you have a place on my hearth and I will like to thank you for showing me why I love this organization so much. Also thanks a lot for making my stay at Tec really special and for giving me your friendship.

I will never forget the first Info session I went and had my first experience with the LC Monterrey (I have really good memory and I still remember that info session when Jogi started to talk and make his funny faces).

For the current EB I just wish you the best for the rest of this year, you have lots of cool projects and I want to hear in Belgium that LC Monterrey is the best LC in Mexico and on of the best on the SSGN.

Well this is also my kind of goodbye to AIESEC in Mexico, I know lots of people is on the Monterrey community so I can also thank everybody that I worked with for the last 2 years as support team of the MC. It is kind of hard to say goodbye to your country specially after representing Mexico in more than 10 international conferences and on all the conferences I was the Mexican guy and I was representing my country, but starting the next conference I will be representing Belgium it will be strange to be on the IC Global Village representing Belgium and not wearing the typical Mexican sombrero and getting everybody really drunk by drinking Tequila.

You know that AIESEC is my passion but I will follow my dream of being MC in Belgium, I will start my term on July and remember you have a friend over there so do not forget to visit me next time you are on Europe.

Well I do not know what else to say, it is kind of hard to express all what I want to say on a mail and I do not want to continue taking your time.

What a weekend!

Well today was a great weekend!!
It was the first time in long time all the LC was together and we party together.

All started with the MC couching visit we had (Thanks Gina you helped a lot) and then everybody went to have dinner to a buffet, we ate so much, I think I am still full of all the food I had.

After that we decided to look for a Strip girl and take it home because it was Pipo (my LCP) birthday present, but you know it is really hard to get a girl in this city so we decided to get a boy girl, in fact we got 3. It was so funny. The boys girls wanted to take advantage or all the boys on the party.
I have some pictures but maybe some day I will upload them.

The next day we went to a soccer match Rayados (the team of the city) was playing against Toluca. Well the game was ok, but unfortunately Rayados lost 3-1 :( .
The interesting part is that the game was at 12 pm and we had around 35 degrees so it was so hot and sunny that I have a good sun tan.

This was one of my last weekends here in Monterrey and I can say I like it a lot

BOA meeting

Well yesterday for the first time on my LC history we had a BOA meeting were all the BOA members were together with the EB (I know it is strange but most of the times the BOA meeting was only LCP and BOA members).
It was a great experience for me, we were on a very fancy room on the university were no body has access only the Dean and the people working with him.

Also this meeting was a good break for all the studying I have been doing lately (Final period simply suck)

Here are some pictures of the meeting

That is me on the main chair of the meeting table

EB working :)

Dany with our 100 USD snack (That small sample of food cost us 100 USD)

Well today was the first time I realized I will miss a lot my LC now that I am going to Belgium

Ironic

Well as you saw on my last post the shower on my dorm was not working, but finally this weekend they went to fix it, but guess what they fix it and now internet does not work AGAIN!!!
I guess they will not both at the same time....

Anyway here is another very strange story that happened to me during SDL (an AIESEC conference here in Mexico). It was raining very very hard and there was thunders and lighting everywhere, well it was time to go home so you needed to go outside to go to the buses that will take us to the hotel.
Well I was afraid of being hit by a lighting and I was running with other girl to the bus so we were not hitted (it might sound funny but keep reading) well while we were running everything turned yellow and hot, suddenly a very impressive BUUUMMMM sounded. A lighting just hit a few meters away from us....
I do not know if it is good or bad luck, also what are the odds of being hit by a lighting.
I guess this is something "kind" of special
