NTMS

This weekend we had our 2 National Conference (NTMS) and I can say it was simply amazing. We had around 180 delegates and for most of them this was their first AIESEC conference.
You can not imagine the feeling when a new member tells you that he is to tired but he can not go to sleep because he is so excited about the conference.
Also this conference help me think lots of things and to clarify a little what my future will be... well next week I am going to Serbia, I will be chair of their National Conference so for sure I will have more time to reflect more about what to do next year.

During our conference we had a Global Village and one LC decided to be Smurfland and I can not believe all the things they did, it was awsome (the made a house of smufs) you can see the picture.

I really love AIESEC and conferences like this help you regain motivation to continue doing this very cool job.

Movie weekend

This weekend was a very nice one, for the first time in very long time I felt the house warming feeling (you know the feeling when you are back home or just sharing with a family)
The weekend started Friday when I went to the movies, then I was still so tired from Intern Drink and 24 hour party that I went to sleep early.
Then on Saturday the real fun started I went to Jorent house and we had a Russian BBQ with his family, it was great to be there and fell the warm feeling of the family. After that we went to Hannelore house to see some movies. (We watch 3 movies)
Sunday was just a relaxing day and I went with Karla to the movies, we saw another 2 movies.
So in total I saw 5 movies during the weekend, I think I am getting movie addicted or definitely I need to find something else to do....

Insecurity in Brussels

Well it was a normal day on the MC office and suddenly we heard that something broke down and we ran to the window to see what was it and we saw a guy braking into a car and running away with something.
Well our office is supposed to be on one of the most transit streets in Brussels and things like this happened.

Soccer mania

Well almost of the world was watching soccer this weekend since the world cup qualifier is almost over.
I joined the soccer mania spirit and I went to the Belgium vs Spain match it was very nice game and we were supporting Belgium, but unfortunately they lost 2 - 0.
But the good thing is that after the game we went to celebrate with the Spanish people and pretty ironic the Spanish party was killed by the Moroccan people that was also celebrating that their national team won.
With all this it just confirm that Brussels is a very multicultural city, even if their national team does not win there is party going on.

I am to tired!

This week has been like crazy I have slept like 4 hours per day, but it is ok since I have had lots of fun. Some of the highlights of the week have been:
- Going to Louvain la Neuve
- Going to the Italian "fancy" restaurant with Karla
- BOA meeting
- Getting a free Spiderman 2 movie from PSP (I got it just for registering my PSP online)
- Intern drink was very cool
- Recruitment and info session on lots of LC
- Meeting the prime minister of Flanders
- Eating mexican food

Also today is strike day here on Belgium so there is no public transportation so most of the streets are empty, I wanted to join to strike to show my solidarity but Kevin did not liked my idea. Here are some pics of the week

Visit to Louvain La Neuve

Yesterday I had my first LC visit outside Brussels, I went to Louvain La Neuve.
It is a great city, the whole city is the campus of the university so it is really cool.
Unfurtunatelly yesterday the party people was on strike (ironic but yes) all the party places where on strike mainly because the city wants to close the bars early.
Anyway we had a small party and it was very interesting because I was talking with some people about very interesting topics. The 19 of october they have a big party on the whole city so for sure I am going there, they told is one of the best things happening on Belgium, so I will not miss it.

The best month of the year is here...

It is finally here.....
OCTOBER is here and it is simply the best month of the year.
Here are some reasons why October is the best month according to me:
My b-day is October 11 (I think that is the main reason why I love this month so much)
NFL Football starts to get interesting
It is time for the baseball postseason :)
. Well this year only one of my favorite teams made it to the playoffs the Atlanta Braves (I have been a brave fan since they played those World Series against Toronto and Minnesota on the 90s). My other favorite team on baseball are the Seattle Mariners but this year they really sucked...

Well the only bad thing of living on Europe is that no body knows baseball so it is almost impossible to see the games here :( . This year will be my second time I am not able to see the playoffs live, last time was when I was living on Germany.

Anyway this why October is my favorite month....

9 days till my b-day
