TtT and OPS
This weekend we had the TtT (Train the Trainers) and OPS (Outgoing Preparation Seminar) and both of them where very cool.I was faci with Kevin for the TtT and it was a great experience it is great to see how people develop their presentation skills just in front of your eyes. Some key things that happend this weekend are:- The police stop us in the train in our way back and ask for our IDs, and I did not had my ID with me but he did not sayed anything. (The last time they asked for my ID was when I was in Camerron and it was not a nice experience)- We tried to capture a sheep and to bring it to the plenary, but it was pretty hard to do it, sheeps run very fast- During the Global Village three of the 10 LCs decided to represent Mexico, so there was a lot of Tequila - More than 50% of the SNs speak spanish, I spoke lots of spanish during the weekendWell that is all for nowtake carebye byePedro
Missing Sensation White
Well yesterday I went to the Intern Drink and after that to the last Buisiness Student Night, it was cool, but I was compering to Sensation White...I am sure it is not normal to compere but it is just the felling of being in a party and people not wearing white.I guess I will have this felling for a whileps. Yesterday where very nice girls dressed in all white, so that help a littlecuPedro
Visit Holland
In my incredible busy schedule, last Monday I found out time to go to the Neatherlands with Kevin, it was just a one day trip (with free train tickets). We went to visit the AI office and we found out that Tom had Malaria so we went to visit him at the hospital. Also during our visit there I found out that Sheriff from Egypt also had Malaria. After hearing that I felt really lucky of not getting Malaria during my trip to Cameroon, specially becuase one day we were having our intense quality interaction and lots of mosquitos where there. I was sitting next to Tom that night and it is possible that it was the night he and Sheriff got malaria.I know that Tom is better now, but I have not heard from Sheriff, I hope he is also better now.Well you hear stories about Malaria and other sicknesses when you travel and I never cared about it, but now that you see cases very close to you makes me reflect for my future trips.cuPedro
Sensation White
Well as I mention in my last post this weekend was the Sensation White party and it was incredible! You can not imagine the impression of seing 13,000 people wearing white just dancing to the music that the DJ in the middle of the Arena is playing.I can say that at the start I felt very stranged wearing all white clothes in the middle of the street, but when you start watching other people just like you walking around is a great feeling (you got the feeling that you are not the only crazy one wearing white in the middle of the street). Then during the party I can say I had a great feeling I danced like for 6 hours non stop, I was not tired I was just feeling the music.Sensation White is a great party and I can not wait to use my white clothes again.
Planning review
Today is finally friday :)This week has been very crazy we had planning review for 2 days and it was pretty cool, but we also realized that our term is almost over, time goes so fast.I know I will be in the MC team also for next year but I am sure it will not be the same...Well this weekend is Sensation White party in Antwerp, I am really looking forward for this party (it is a party where everybody needs to be dressed in white and the best DJs in the world are there). I did not had white pants but I just bought some today. In my next post I will tell you how was the partycuPedro
Sugarcubes
This weekend was again a very cool weekend, everything started Thursday with a very cool Intern Drink (We had around 30 people in the drink :) ). Then Friday we had our Annual Alumni Event, it was a very nice evening with some alumni from AIESEC in Belgium, unfutunatelly there where not so many alumni but the ones that where there were great.Saturday we had a party in our MC house, I can say that I have never seen so many people in our house and the party was very cool.Well Sunday was just a relaxing Sunday, I miss a just watching TV and eating Sunday (When I was living in Mexico most of the Sundays were like that). The main problem that I have here in Belgium is that I do not have a TV so I can not watch TV :( , but anyway I watched 2 movies from my computer and then I played a little PSP, then I was bored and decided to organize my room, while I was organizing my room I found my Sugarcube bag (it is a bag where I have all my Sugarcubes of all the AIESEC conferences I have been that are around 20) I was reading them for almost 1 hour and it was a great feeling to remember the conference and also it is very nice to read what people think of you. In my last conferences I have not written sugarcubes mainly because of the lack of time, but I promise that for the next conferece I go I will try to write sugarcubes to a lot of people becuase those little papers means a lot to the people that is reading them. Now it is time to work so cu allbye byePedro
NATCO!!
NATCO is over :(
but I can say it has been one of the best conferences in the history of AIESEC in Belgium :)
The delegates were very happy and they enjoy all the skill sessions.
Personally I had lots of fun in the conference, it is great to see your members (they are the reason why I am in the office so long working for AIESEC).
Now I am extremly tired, I slept yesterday at 9 pm and I wake up at noon, I need more sleep but I will go to the gym now (I have not been there for a while, so I need to use it since I am paying a lot of money for it).
