End of the year

It is already 2007 in some parts of the world, here in Mexico we still have a few hours to go...

Well 2006 was a very good year for me, some of the highlights that come to my mind are:
- I went to Africa
- I went to the World Cup (watching a game of your national team inside the stadium is something amazing)
- I visited New York (I always wanted to visit that city)
- I started studying my masters (I am studying Master in European Business at EHSAL in Brussels)
- I was selected for my second MC term
- I went to around 10 AIESEC conferences in several places of the world
- I came to Mexico 2 times this year
- I met a lot of nice people and I have lots of new friends (Celine is one of this nice people I met this year :) )
- I am helping to coordinate the expansion to a new AIESEC country (AIESEC in Rwanda)

This are the main things that come to my mind, but there are lots of things that happend this year that made it a very interesting one. I tried to made a collage of pictures but I was not able to make it work :( , but most of the pictures of the events I marked my year are on the Flickr album, you can see it on the left corner of my blog.

Well this is the last post of the year, bye bye 2006.
I wish you all the best for next year!!!

bye bye

Best female athlete of the year is Mexican!

Ochoa swept all the major honours on the LPGA and picked up another award at the end of the season with a landslide victory as the AP Female Athlete of the Year.

"That was my goal in January, just to be the best player on the tour," she said recently. "I always knew I could do it. I think I've been raising my level of golf, and also more mature now inside the golf course and outside, too. It helps."

She received 220 points in voting from sports editors around the country, double the point total of French tennis player Amelie Mauresmo, who captured Wimbledon and the Australian Open.
Tiger Woods was voted AP Male Athlete of the Year, the first time since 1993 that the male and female athletes came from the same sport (Michael Jordan-Sheryl Swoopes in basketball). And it was the first time since Babe Zaharias and Byron Nelson in 1945 that golfers swept the AP athlete awards.

Tomorrow back in Mexico

Hello everybody!
Well after a crazy weekend with lots of things happening (MC Xmas party, Xmas shopping, working, relaxing...)

Finally I will go on holidays :) and I will go back home for Xmas (I think I never post that I was going back to Mexico for Xmas).
So I will go to Mexico for 15 days, it is not so much time, but it is enough to see my family and eat a lot of Mexican food.

My flight again is an experience (last time I went to Mexico I pass the night in New York and changed planes 4 times), this time I will pass the night in Mexico City airport, my flight is Brussels - Washington - Mexico City - Tampico, still a long journey but not as long as last time.

Well my next post will be from the Mexico City airport...

Outgoing Preparation Seminar

This weekend I had the outgoing preparation seminar and it was great.

This one was approximately my 30 AIESEC Conference, but it was the first one I was fully responsible of, I made the agenda, the objectives, faci selection, etc.

The weekend was a great experience, I learned a lot and I even learned how to use the professional DJ stuff.

This conference motivate me and made me start thinking what to do next, the past conferences that I attended I did not felt the magic of the AIESEC conference, maybe when you are arriving to your 30 conference, it starts becoming boring.

Well OPS was great, thanks to everybody that was there and I think I found the magic of the AIESEC conferences back in me...

Days are shorter every day....

Well this days I am so busy, that I have no time to do all the things I will like to do.
Everyday something new comes up and that needs to be done immediately...

This makes me sad becuase I am missing some very nice things happening in Brussels.

Anyway you can not always get what you want, but I hope this busy period finishes soon...

Lindsay Lohan update

As part of the Linday Lohan fan club it is my duty to report you that our lovely Lindsay Lohan is attending AA meetings. (Kevin I know this is a very bad news for you)

Here is part of the news:

Lindsay Lohan's mother, Dina, has told E! News' Ryan Seacrest that her daughter has been attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, though the elder Lohan stopped short of saying that the starlet has formally entered the program.
