My favorite scene of a movie...

Today was the first Sunday in long time that I had not to study or to do something and it made me realize that Sunday is a very boring day in Belgium, everything is closed.
Maybe during my trips and study time I forgot about it but now it is back to reality time...

Well to solve that I went to the movies, I saw two movies "Bobby" and "Blood Diamond", both movies are ok.

In my trip back home I was thinking about my favorite scene in a movie, it was kind of hard to have one favorite one since I am watching lots of movies, but my favorite scene is from the movie "Cruel Intentions", that movie is great and I think most of the people have seen it, so the part that I love the most is almost at the end of the movie when Sebastian realized that he loves the girl and goes to meet her before she goes.
The scene is great, the song that goes with it is amazing. Thanks to YouTube here is the scene

Finally winter...

After having a pretty ok winter, now it is starting to get cold here in Brussels, currently we are at -3 degrees, but it feels like -7 degrees.
I do not want to go out with this cold weather, I prefer to stay home and keep warm, maybe that is why we have exam period during January.
Well tomorrow it is my last exam of this term, I think it will be ok, but you never know....

Something that is very strange here in Belgium is that the results of the exams will be out until next week and you get the resutls of all the exams at the same time, in Mexico you make your exam and the teacher has 48 hours to check it and to publish the resutls. I think the Mexico system is better, here is just to slow.

Well my exam tomorrow is at 8:30 am, it is early and it will be cold outside, that is also something I do not understand why putting an exam at 8:30, students are more relax and more concentrated if you put the exam a little latter 9;30 will be perfect. Tomorrow I need to wake up around 7 in order to be in time for the exam, imagine some students that do not live in Brussels, they need to wake up around 6 or earlier, anyway school system is strange here and I think I will never understand why things are done like this...

10 best moments of Family Guy

I found this cool video of the 10 best moments of Family Guy

Enjoy

Weekend

Well the weekend is over and I can say it was a nice weekend (most of the time I was studying for my exams).

The best thing that happen to me this weekend was that I went to have dinner with Celine and her family, we went a very cool Japanise restaurant (it was a restaurant where they cook your food in front of you and the cookers kind of make a show of it). I am a big fan of Iron Chef so seeing the things cooked and prepared in front of me was very cool.

I knew I was supposed to take my camera to take pictures, but I forgot it....

Storm!

Yesterday it was a crazy day, we had a storm in Europe and Belgium was not the exception. It was crazy, wind was very, very strong and lots of pieces of roofs and windows fall down, it was dangerous to be out on the streets. I was out on the streets and I went to the train station and for my surprise all the trains where cancelled, it was the first time I saw that in my life.

Also I went to the center of Brussels to the Grand Place and it was closed, a piece of one of the buildings fall down, so they decided to close the access to it.

Well now things are back to normal, but the crazy weather does not finish here in Europe...

Here is an article explains more what happened yesterday

LONDON, England (AP) -- Europeans labored on Friday to restore services across the continent after hurricane-force winds toppled trees, brought down power lines and damaged buildings, killing at least 47 people and disrupting travel for tens of thousands. Full story HERE

Busy life...

Well it has been a while since I last posted something in the blog (4 days, for someone in the proccess of getting addicted to bloging is a lot).
Anyway I have not posted anything, because I am so busy, I am in the middle of exams and also full MC job. Until now I think I am doing it fine, but I need to wait for the exam results, I only had one exam unti now, but the most difficult one is still to come.

It is funny to be back studying for exams after 2 years, I have a strange feeling about it.

Well I am tired now and I will go to bed, it is late and tomorrow is again a busy day.

bye bye

Late Christmas message

I got a very funny Christmas Message (this is the second time I got it, this year)

One beautiful December evening Pedro and his girlfriend Rosita were sitting by the side of the ocean.
It was a romantic full moon, when Pedro said,
"Hey, mamacita, let's do Weeweechu."
Oh no, not now, let's look at the moon!" said Rosita.
Oh, c'mon baby, let's you and I do Weeweechu. I love you and it's the perfect time,"
Pedro begged. "But I wanna just hold your hand and watch the moon." replied Rosita.
Please, corazoncito, just once, do Weeweechu with me."
Rosita looked at Pedro and said, "OK, one time, we'll do Weeweechu."
Pedro grabbed his guitar and they both sang..... "Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year."

4 days since I am back

Well I am back in Belgium :)

My flight to come back was ok, long but ok. I was trying to sleep the whole flight but next to me was a little girl that was all the time moving and it the back seat there was another little girl, but this was crying for half of the trip....

Everything in Belgium is fine, the weather is starting to get more cold but I do not think we will have snow any time soon. Also during this 4 days I started to remodel my room, I have not finished but I am doing it slowly.

Also in January it is the exam period, everybody is stressed for the exams, but I am not stressed I only have 4 exams this semester, but I have also done some studying this days.

Well that is a small update of my return to Belgium, more will come on the next days.

1st January

Well yesterday was the first day of the year, for me it is usually a very relaxing day, just watch TV and eat something.
When I was little I hated this day because there was nothing on the TV only football and some movies.
Then I grew up and I started liking football (it is my second favorite sport just after baseball). Also I start liking college football, after the New Year I passed in Knoxville I am a
Vols fan.

So I started liking every year more and more the 1 of January, so yesterday I had a nice day watching football and luckly I saw what some people consider the best game in history, it was a great game, it keep me awake until late night when the game was over.

Here is a small overview of the game:

The Broncos culminated an unrivaled string of gusto-laden, do-or-die trick plays with one of the oldest in the book, the Statue of Liberty. And when
Ian Johnson grabbed Jared Zabransky's behind-the-back handoff, scooted around the left side and scored two titanic points to beat lordly Oklahoma 43-42 in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, magic bloomed in the desert.
"It doesn't even seem real to me," Boise State offensive tackle Andrew Woodruff said, perplexedly rubbing his burr-headed scalp on the field while the Broncos fans roared in the stands.
Reality was further challenged when Johnson followed his winning run with an on-field wedding proposal to his flabbergasted cheerleader girlfriend. But, please, one blockbuster story at a time.
The big picture: The Valley of the Stun was the stage as an indomitable bunch of dreamers in orange pants landed the mightiest populist blow of college football's modern era. They were Hickory High in helmets, George Mason in cleats. They knocked off a gridiron giant one decade to the day after the burial of Pokey Allen, the beloved Boise coach who brought the program up to Division I-A status just 11 years ago.
The doors to the sport's throne room seem thrown open as never before.
Check the plaque at the lady's feet on Liberty Island this morning and see if the familiar sonnet has been changed. See if it now reads, "Give me your non-BCS teams tired of being disrespected, your poor of football budget, your huddled masses of mid-major strivers yearning to play in the grandest bowl games." And see if Lady Liberty is wearing a Boise State jersey today.
The Broncos entered their first Bowl Championship Series game undefeated but unloved in some elitist quarters. The Western Athletic Conference champions were made a steep underdog to the twice-beaten Sooners, and were suspected by some of fraudulence. They carried not just their own quest for nationwide credibility into this game, but the hopes and dreams of every alleged mid-major team that had been snubbed by a system of the rich, for the rich and by the rich.
FULL STORY HERE

Also here you can see the last play of the game (one of the best ones I have seen in my life)

In other news tomorrow I go back to Belgium, so my next post will be from the other side of the world, from the city I call home for the last 1 year and a half, Brussels.
