The festival is a 4 day very cool festival, in the line up:
Metallica, Pearl Jam, Muse, Faithless, The Chemical Brothers, Bjork, Marilyn Manson, Artic Monkeys, Incubus, Beastie Boys, The Kooks, Bloc Party and more...
Unfortunatelly I can not be the whole festival there because tomorrow I have a small conference... anyway the conference tomorrow will also be amazing, so again it will be a busy but cool weekend
Well this weekend I went to London and it was an amazing experience...
I never imagine London was such a cool city (I have been living in Europe for almost 3 years and I never wanted to go there, but now I really regret of not being there before) Here are some highlights of the trip:
FRIDAY I went to the AIESEC UK Annual Review Boat party. The party was amazing it was a great atmosphere and it was great to see some old friends, but also to meet some new friends.
SATURDAY I went mainly to do some tourism, there are so many things to see in London.... that I had not enough time to see all.
The coolest thing of Saturday was that I went to a the "We will rock you" musical, it was amazing! I have never seen a show so cool... In the night we went to have some drinks in the middle of Piccadilly square with some friends.
SUNDAY
I was very tired on Sunday, so we just chilled out going to the market. The good thing is that on Sunday I saw Lola (she was CEEDer in Monterrey 4 years ago), thanks to Facebook I got in touch again with her.
Well this weekend was great and I can not wait to go again to London...
Now that our term is almost over we are having different parties during the evenings, yesterday Tijs, Makis and me decided to have a potatoe party, followed by the mojito party.
The potatoe party was mainly to cook potatoes on different styles... I had so much potatoes... It was a nice evening and here you can see the pictures of our potatoe creations:
It is Sunday night and lots of things are happening specially in the soccer world, the champion of the Spanish league is being defined and Mexico national team is playing against Costa Rica. (I am hearing the game via internet).
Well this weekend was supposed to be a very relaxing weekend since I had no plans and I just wanted to relax and try to organize my room, but this weekend was not relaxing at all. Everything started Friday when Gwen came to visit for the weekend, Friday we went to the Eurobeach party and it was a great party, I had so much fun there and it was a very nice evening with some friends.
Then Saturday and Sunday I went to do some tourisim in Belgium, I went to Brussels and Brugge. I have been living here for 2 years and every time I go out to do some tourism I discover something different, also every time I have been with different groups of people and that also influence the whole experience, this weekend I had a great group :)
Now I am so tired... but I have a nice feeling of just finishing a great weekend. Here are some pics:
Well when I living in Seattle (for one of my CEEDs) I heard this song from the first time... Today I was walking home and I heard it in my IPOD and it brought me lots of memories, also the lyrics of the song also show how I feel sometimes...
This weekend there was a huge fair in Brussels and the fair was Expo Andalucia, but it was not only about Andalucia... lots of countries were represented and for a while I felt like if I was home back in Mexico, only talking spanish, eating great food, great music....
Yesterday I was talking with Dan and Thomas about how was life during the comunisim time in Romania and Slovakia and I can not imagine having my childhoood the way they did, it was a very interesting conversation that helped me understand more about the countries and people from Eastern Europe.
In a way in also helped me realized that I was very lucky to be born in Mexico....
But here is a small explanation (I just copy it from their website)

On a micro-level, its goal is to get participants to fully develop themselves and to be the highest possible version of them. On a macro-level, the program tries to enhance the entrepreneurship potential in both developing and developed countries.
Well the whole purpose of this post is that I applied to be part of their program, it was not an easy selection proccess, CV and application screening and two interviews... Yesterday I got the good news that I have been accepted in the program :) , it is a great news to be accepted to such a good program (specially after being rejected the day before from my first job). The thing I need to do now is to collect the money, because it is not a cheap programe...
But I was not selected... I am not so sad, but just disapointed... this was the first time I was rejected in the coorporate world... I guess maybe something better is waiting for me...
Now is time to start thinking on a new plan in order to help me achieve my personal vision...
Yesterday we had team days and everything was ok, we had a BBQ in our house and then we had a food fight, yes you read well, we had a huge food fight, it all started when we wanted to trow some cake in Dan face but then the whole thing was a mess.
Both MC flats where a mess with food every where...
It was the first time I had did this in my life and I can say I had lots of fun...
btw, I am still waiting for the answers of the Assesment Center, but for sure I will get it tomorrow...
Well I am still waiting for the results of the assesment center.... The worst is that some people already know the results since Monday... 2 girls were selected and 1 not selected... I do not know if it is a good sign not to hear from them, while others already heard their result...
Anyway there is nothing I can do... just keep waiting
Well it is Sunday night and here is a small update of my weekend, this was a nice weekend and lots of things happend...
I went to the soccer game Belgium vs Portugal, it was a very nice game and I really enjoyed the company of the people that was there with me and the funny thing is that the game was in Belgium but I think Portugal was local in the stadium since there where lots of fans from Portugal. The score of the game was Belgium 1 - Portugal 2
After the game we went for a party in one house of some interns, the party was great, but for a moment I was surprised to see a person I have not seen in long time there... I was not expecting to see that person and I was not ready to see her there but maybe the destiny put us again together after a while, the first thing that pass in my mind was to ignor that person and just pretend she was not there, but then I realized it was not the best to do, so I went to talk to her and we had a nice chat...
Well so I had a nice weekend, now a new busy week is starting and I expect to get the resutls of the assesment center this week, so I think it will be an exciting week (also I have exams this week)
