What a weekend....

This weekend was amazing! I have not had so much fun in so long time.
A lot of things happen in this weekend... visit of old friends, meeting new friends, getting to know better some friends, drinking lots of different types of Vodka (Leuven Global Village), Nuit Blanche in Brussels (all night party in Brussels), going to a party with 13 girls and only 3 boys :) , going to the Da Vinci exhibition here in Brussels, water heather explotion (the water heather in our house decided to stop working), going to the movies, going for cocktails....

As you can see it was a very busy but very cool weekend, I think I will not forget this weekend in a very long time.

First days of work...

I started working at ABN AMRO on Monday and until now it has been a very interesting experience, it is very hard to express what I feel but I am happy of being living this new challenge.

I am also trying to adapt to this new life style, going in a suit to the office, waking up early, go for coffee or hot chocolate breaks...

Well I will post more in the coming days...

Take care

UBS Award party!

In my last post I mention that I was going to an AIESEC conference in order to have a MC 06 / 07 reunion and also in order to see the UBS cup that we won during IC.

Well was great to see some of the MC members (Dan and Makis were missing), but the highlight of the night was the opportunity to be there with the members and share the joy and happiness of winning the cup.
It was our dream as MC to win the cup, I even once commented that if we were not winning the cup we were going to buy one...

I think I even cried when they show the video when they announced that AIESEC in Belgium had won the cup... it was a great feeling to back in an AIESEC conference.

I do not know when it will be the next conference I will join.... but knowing myself it will not wait a long time for it...

Week so far...

This week has been a relax week (probably my last relax week in long time).
Besides going to school I did nothing, I was a little bit sick and also still with some jet lag.

Well actually I did one thing I went to Maastricht to visit my sister... also I hang out with some interns here in Belgium.
It is nice to be now in the other side and being also one intern, it is a very nice feeling I have.

Also this weekend is Kick Off , it is the first AIESEC conference of AIESEC in Belgium in 2 years that I will not be there... well I will go tomorrow for the party but it is not the same.
Tomorrow also we will have a MC 06-07 reunion and we will celebrate our victory after winning the UBS award.

Time passes so fast...

The past weekend it was a great weekend... and why it was a great weekend mainly because I was able to hang out with old friends and remember old times.

Time passes so fast it... it seems like yesterday when most of those people arrived to Belgium and I started showing them around Brussels...

Back in Belgium, but my bags stil not

Well after a 19 hours trip I am back in Belgium (in fact I arrived yesterday, but I was so tired that I slept all day)
My trip was interesting in NY I had one hour and a half to pass the migration office, collect my bag and change terminal. I manage to do it but unfortunately my bags did not.
They promise to deliver them to my house today, so I hope everything will be ok.

Well that is all for now, take care

Again blogging from the airport

Well I am about to start my almost 19 hours trip to go back to Brussels.

Currently I am in the Mexico City airport waiting for my flight to go to New York and then I will take the flight that will take me to Brussels.

As a tradition, like in my last flights I try to write a post in the airport :)

Anyway my next post will be back in Brussels, it is strange to go back, in the past I was thinking I need to arrive and then go to the MC office to see whats up... but now I can not do that anymore.
The official stage of my life outside MC life starts today...

Thanks to everybody

Hello everybody!

I will like to thank everybody that sent me messages congratulating me for my new internship and also for Belgium winning the UBS award.
These messages really mean a lot to me and every time I read them it makes me smile.

I am enjoying my last days in Mexico and in a few days I will be back in Belgium, getting ready to start the next stage of my life.

My first internship!

So after a not so long time of waiting I got the news that I have been selected for an internship at ABN AMRO in Brussels :)

I am happy to finish my work in one great organization like AIESEC and to join another very cool organization like ABN AMRO.

I will start my new job at the end of the month so there is still some time before I can share you my first impressions of the corporate world.

Amazing weekend in Mexico City

I just came back home from an AMAZING weekend in Mexico City.

I used to live in Mexico City, in fact 16 years of my life I spent in that city... then I moved to Tampico, Monterrey, Germany and Belgium...

Anyway the thing that made the weekend so nice is that I saw some people that I have not seen in long time, also I did some tourism in the city. (something I never did when I was living there)

The most funny thing, is that Saturday night we went to a bar and suddenly I saw a Dany ex LCP of AIESEC Monterrey, I never imagine to see her in Mexico City... you have a city with almost 20 million people and you are still avail to find friends.
This only supports my idea that the world is a small place...
